Update - 145.022-71 Advice

I dropped this watch off for a service yesterday and am already missing it, so I revisited this thread.

I was wearing this watch when my son was born in 2021, which earned it a permanent spot in the collection. Hopefully he’ll enjoy watches when he’s older so I can pass it on to him one day.

I’m thinking about getting a handmade strap from Genteel for once it’s back from the spa. Maybe one with mint green stitching to match the lume?

…and it’s back! During my search for a 1168 bracelet for my Admiralty diver 166.054, I wound up with a 20 mm 1168 that is now installed on the watch, and I’m really enjoying it so far. I would still like to pick up a nice handmade strap for it at some point.

I don’t think this one will be leaving my wrist for a while.

That was a spectacular deal for $3,500. I sold mine for $6k, but it had a flat link 1175 bracelet and was in near mint condition.

IMO you got a nice deal on that watch. No way you’ll ever lose money on that one, although it doesn’t sound like you’re likely to be selling it.
