Omega Speedmaster 145.022-71 ID & Auction Value Talk

This Speedmaster just sold on a local auction for $2,760 (or $3,450 when including the auctioneers 25% commission).

The only two available photographs are poor, and there was no movement image provided, nor any other information forthcoming, but to me it looks like a 145.022-71?

It was apparently serviced with a 12 month guarantee.

I didn't chase up the veracity of this as unfortunately I have already bought my watch quota for the year so wasn't intending to bid, but of course like watching these sales for my own education.

Speedmaster101's price chart puts the value at $2,800 (for a fair example) and $4,200 (for a good example), which I think this piece falls in somewhere between.

To me it seems like someone got a pretty good deal though?

If it came with a flat link bracket I’d say bargain but not the watch head only.

Seems like someone overpaid for that condition, especially with no bracelet, and in this —imo— buyers market.
