Really nice. If the leather has sufficient strength I’d definitely wear them. Maybe keep one of each type as NOS if you want to.
I agree ... I would wear too. And if you have the chance to buy two of them - excellent chance! Unfortunately this option is really expensive for 1039/516 bracelets (my current "object of desire")
Over the years I have picked up a handful of unworn OEM straps as well, albeit for a different marque from the 1950s. I leave the old straps unworn and flat (and lightly oiled to keep them from drying out completely) but I have used them as a model to hunt for newly-made straps that look similar in style or color to the old ones. I am patiently waiting for a bespoke strap maker to come up with this idea as well, and offer a family of vintage-style straps that are identical to OEM straps from a given era. (@Fost @jankoxxx ?)
