As much as watches are jewelery with a strong artistic/aesthetic element, I prefer them to remain functional for telling time (and date). I have no personal interest in anything that would be defined primarily as “unusual”.

Van Cleef make some very unusual watches, with the above planitarium I think the shooting star tells the time (somehow? Perhaps like a 24h Watch). You should also have a look at VC&As Pont Des Amoureux

 

For example this one says time very well and cost 12.000$

 

It doesn't get any more "unusual" that this Patek...
