    Hey guys,

Very excited to say I just picked up this Doxa!

I've always loved up down Chronos - but this one is special as the top dial is actually the "clock" so to speak, leaving the bottom sundial I presume to be either a running second hand for the clock, or a minute hand for the chronograph?

I was wondering if anyone else has any information about these? I didn't get it particularly cheap, especially once I pay 20% import fees from Switzerland but I find the dial quite beautiful, and it appears very seldom worn! I'm not sure if I spy a hang tag, and the seller did describe this as 'unworn' - I doubt it, but we shall see what it is like in person. It's supposed to be 35mm too, which appears to be unusual as the majority of Doxa regulators I have seen have been 33mm.

I read somewhere that the first two numbers on the serial on the back of the case of a Doxa indicate the year it was made, which would make it 1943, although, it does look earlier to me personally say late 30s. I also read that the Gallet versions of these watches were made from around 1935, so it could very well be from this era, if the serial on the case theory isn't exactly true. Those models that I found similar to this one incidentally all had serials starting 43.

I look forward to hearing any information you might have about this brand / watch / movement, and hope you enjoy the pictures :)

    Kind regards,

    Oliver

What a great looking chronograph, and the case is in fantastic shape. Usually the brassing is really bad.

It was the condition that "sold" it to me :)

The blue hands compliment the blue scales so well. Looks like a keeper :)

It has 35mm without crown. I don’t have a picture of the movement and i don’t like open my watches. I’m gonna visit my watchmaker on weekend and i can take a pic by then if you still interested

No need just interesting to see another 35mm one! My friend only saw 33mm ones so I was concerned my seller had made a mistake with his measurements, but hopefully all is well
