·Not exactly unmolested, as some lunatic clearly set about the caseback with a pair of scissors at some point, but this is a nice, honest, and charming example of a classic 321 movement tool watch which has been used for its purpose over the years.
The dial looks lovely in the metal, with nice lemony lume plots, which are mostly intact, and certainly look good to the naked eye when on the wrist.
The watch came into my possession in 2017, and I had it serviced by the superlative UK Speedmaster expert, Simon Freese, in May of this year, and so comes with the remainder of that 18 month guarantee on the movement. I asked Simon to clean and service the watch, but chose to leave the case in its original (to me) state.
This is a private sale, and returns would not be accepted in the case of ‘buyers remorse’, so please ask any questions prior to purchase. Insured shipping to the continental US is included and preferred, with other locations subject to the cost of shipping. Preferred payment is by wire transfer to my US account, of the net amount agreed, although a face to face arrangement in NYC could be possible too.
Time for the pictures ....
Wrist shots...with wear and tear on the bottom right lug visible.
Static shots ...
The lume in the hands was ‘stabilized’ by Simon on his recommendation...
Omega symbol in the crystal (the right way up in case you are OCD!)
Correct spaced T dial
Correct Dot over 90 bezel with a little wear and nice fading
Narrow foot crown
1506 bracelet with 16 end links
The caseback
And finally, the movement (picture thanks to Simon while it was being serviced). The correct range 26.546 movement number is visible.
Thanks for looking, and to OF for the space....
