Close to fainting looking at the posts in this thread 🥰.
My humble contribution:

Unpolished (to my knowledge) 145.022-69,
I have to take some prober macros some day.

And because it was talked about in this thread, this is how a proper case restauration can look like if it‘s done with the correct tools and techniques:

Before (def unpolished but well loved)

And after:

Oh and yes, gold capped can look good too, untouched KO2907:

Cheers,
Max

All internal lug bevels are still intact and still mirrored, like the second picture, right lug.
That’s a stunning watch!!

Both have unpolished cases.

I do have the DON bezel for the Ed White but like this slightly faded bezel too. The 145.022-69 is no longer with me.

Some Seamasters do, but I am not sure this one had bevelled lugs from the start
You could be right - it looked like there was one but it could just be that worn down.

Either way, the case would have to be pretty miserable and replacements pretty rare for me to go this route.

They do great work for what it is though 😀

how can you tell the difference if a watch has "never been polished" or "polished professionally 25 years ago"? so that the edges are still sharp and covered with small scratches all over from wearing it in the last 25 years

The debate rages on. But you are correct, unless you are the one and only owner of the watch you can never know (see @Archer's post in this thread). That being said the watches in this thread make a compelling case (pun intended).

Most watches that are polished lose at least *some* definition in the bevels and facets that are being shown off in this thread.

"Most" I would agree with, as there are plenty of poorly refinished watches out there, but definitely not all...

After seeing your post I purposefully used the word most. 😉
