Hi all,

Found this in a bunch of old bits and bobs in my fathers belongings.

Looks to me like it’s from the 50’s and was once quite a sharp looker. Clearly not anymore!
The hands and markers are quite snazzy but all else is.... well.... past it! To say the least!!
It doesn’t run, second hand moves for a few seconds before stopping.
Anyone any idea what it may be? It has made in Germany on the movement.

Not expecting much information as probably just a generic piece but still would’ve been a cool watch in its day.

I think the best part of vintage watch collecting is rummaging through the parts bin looking for treasure. 😀 Your movement appears to be a Kienzle 57/19, and of course, Kienzel made their own watches too.

Does the watch in the 1958 ad below seem familiar?

That’s pretty impressive I must say!

Slightly taken aback by that response.

Sadly the lugs are pretty worn as well as the less than perfect dial ph and that it is spot on for time keeping...twice a day....

Thanks so much, really thought was a long shot and am amazed you nailed it it one!

Please don’t tempt me to collect even more hard to find vintage watches, I spend enough as it is but must say am intrigued by this one and the apparent history it has.

Thanks again for posting @Vitezi will enjoy delving a bit deeper on a brand I never heard of!
