So my tre tacche Colonial has got a new crystal now.
Here is a pic of both my UG Colonial wristwatches side by side.
The tre tacche (handwound) is a little bit earlier (562xxx) and bigger, but right is one of the earliest automatic Universal watches I know (591xxx).
Just love these beautiful dials/subdials.And these solid cases/casebacks are looking really amazing,

@kpaxsg not sure, a lot of companies did add Prima to their watches as a mark of extra quality and parts compared to others in their range.

I'd like to share my recent find: a Colonial pre 'Universal Geneve.' The case has seen some polishing, and one of the hands is quite possibly relumed. It runs when shaken, though doesn't hold any power reserve and it'll require some spa time. On the flipside, the Gay Freres bracelet is complete, and the dial appears to be in good nick under that yellowed crystal.

@valjoux72 you can add 572948 to the Universal automatic serial list ^^

Here it is! Huge congrats from my side. Saw it too but went to sport this night and when I came home it was already gone. A real treasure! And the bonklip is a great plus!
Do you plan to change the crystal?

@valjoux72 - I do plan to change it, though will advise my watchmaker to keep it aside for future use if needed.
I got lucky and this thread definitely helped to pull the trigger when I saw it listed 馃榾

I'd be interested in a close up of any markings on the GF/Bonklip bracelet. I'm coming close to buying at least one of these and I'd like to know what to look for.

Thanks Syrte,
just saw it too on IG. Even bigger in 35 mm and Multifort inscription. Would be interesting to see if it has a Borgel caseback. Yes I think it belongs to the Colonial family.

The caption says 芦 FB waterproof case 禄 so clearly aTaubert case. The 芦 Multifort 禄 inscription makes one wonder whether they were made under license from Mido. I wonder whether that might also account for the fact some of the UG Colonial watches posted above are exact lookalikes of certain models of Mido multifort.

Are the movements Mido movements? That would be a big clue.

Cool, congrats from me for the Colonial!
The exclusive club of Colonial owners increases.
Serial is quiet early, maybe we should crosscheck at Mido too...
Good to know it in best hands b!

Just to clarify, this watch does not belong to me, my friend shared the pics with me earlier and said it was fine to post them here...
