I've decided to sell this one from my collection to make some room after a few too many recent new arrivals, it's a 1960's steel Universal Geneve Polerouter Automatic with a gorgeous gloss black dial, gilt printing and cross hairs. The watch dating from the mid 60's is overall in very good condition. The black gloss dial is stunning and just about perfect with beautiful gilt printing, cross hairs and aged lume ( possible re-lume? ) which has turned an attractive colour. The mirrored silver chapter ring is perfect and still has all of its reflective qualities. The steel case with lyre lugs is about 35.5mm ex. crown and looks to have had a very light polish at some point in its life but is still very clean and sharp and looks fantastic on the wrist. The case back has the UG logo, some light scratches and ref/serial numbers. The serial is 2299287 which I believe dates to around 1963. The engravings/scratches/numbers are very feint and I've tried to capture them as well as possible in my pictures. Signed crown. The movement is a clean cal 218-9 microrotor which is winding, setting, running and keeping good time although I have no service history for it. I'm selling this head only but will include a black leather strap for the buyer if they wish. €1475 net to me will include worldwide Track and Trace international shipping.
