When it comes to UG Polerouters, the reference 20217-4 might be the most iconic one, at least for me.
Stainless steel case, black crosshair dial and no date window.
So I was very happy to add an beautiful example of this reference to my small UG collection.
The case and the lugs are looking great. The dial is in very good condition, the original lume plots have developed some nice patina. The watch has a broad U Logo and two lume plots at 12. The original hands have lost their lume, but original to the watch. Add an U-signed crown and on top the original U-signed crystal, so it can´t get much better. Signature on the case back is well preserved, serial 1771705 puts it into the right time around 1955.
The Cal. 138ss is working fine.
Ten days on the wrist without changing, I guess that is true love...
