Does this Spillman do anything for you? I find the 38mm case size perfect. The lower pusher and crown are replaced, and the hour/minute hands look relumed, but otherwise looks nice to me. Maybe offer $3500 USD and see if the seller will go for it, been sitting a long time.

Or if this is not what you are looking for, maybe provide some details, gold or SS case, lume vs no lume dial, etc, might be able to make some suggestions.

I'm guessing OP isn't a fan of that hand style. (Sword hands? Alpha hands? What do we call these?)

Yes I am not a fan of replumed sword hands at all, and pump pushers on these Spillman cases almost always look like they had been replaced with after market, so this does not score any better on the originality than the example I was considering, and from my personal esthetical view point, looks much worse. Ideally, my dream UG will be a 38mm gold case, two registers chrono, leaf hands (no lume), and applied dial numerals - nice, clean, classy and timeless look...

Many of them have dauphine hands, and it will be rare to have all applied numerals. More likely to have a mix of numerals and markers. Just trying to set some realistic expectations. 😀

What do you guys think of this one? Looks like a re-done dial too, but overall condition appears to be nice so could be a plausible option? Price is ~ Eur 3.5K

dial looks good. crown is replaced, chrono reset slightly off, case a bit polished but not terrible? As long as the case reference checks out and the movement is OK, could be a good option.

whats the case size?

That dial looks honest to me as well. Presumably that is just a funny reflection at the end of the one o'clock lug, but please double check in other images.

Says 38mm...but I think more likely to be 37mm.

You don't find the subdials numbers are slightly off? Too fat and diff tone of the font, no?

need the case reference, case serial, and movement caliber (and you will want photos verifying that information is correct)

I should clarify that by saying the dial looks fine to me, I meant it was original. But it does appear to have condition issues. As Dan mentioned possible paint loss on the outer edge between 1 and 2. But even more than that, it's a bit odd to be lacking a tachy scale and swiss at the bottom. However it almost looks like there is water damage or something around the entire outer edge of the dial, and perhaps there was a tachy scale and also perhaps swiss , but now heavily faded?

It's hard to tell from these photos exactly what's going on there, but in terms of the rest of the printing on the dial, it looks correct to me.

Others, including Ben, have much more UG experience than me, but the sub-dials look quite clean and sharp to me (printing, edges, and texture). The outer scale is a bit faded, so the sub-dial printing might look bolder, but the font seems generally consistent.

The dial looks original from the pics but you'd have to cross check the movement serial etc. Find comparables if you can. UGs like this take a lot of homework but overall its still a lot better than your first one imo- I think you are learning!

This is better. The dial is more patinated than I’d like and the movement needs a clean up. Crown isn’t original. On thing I was going to mention, Singapore seems a challenging place for watchmakers. With these dress chronographs, sweat and humidity steam em right up. I’m seeing humidity here.

There are a lot of nice examples of UG out there, I guess you can find a much better one. I like the double signed dial, also the pulsometer one, but because of this is a refinished dial, it is just ruining the whole thing...
I would give 1.5K max...

Most of us would not consider this watch, but I’ve stopped underestimating what even flawed UG’s are selling for.
