UG disco volante but US import code RXG which, according to Ranfft is 'R. Gsell & Co. Inc., Cortebert, Olympic, Zodiac'. Caseback looks legit UG but appears to be unnumbered (although the pics are not made at the right angle)

·I'd speculate that this is a 1940s ref.12201 which was at some point refurbished using a 60s dial, hand set and crown.

·Seller said that serial is 722556 (not 750, I remembered it wrongly) and ref 12, the last 3 digits were consumed.
Movement is without a doubt an UG 281 caliber, so I guess Ranfft was simply wrong 😁 Or at least, we now have an exception to that rule.
