I'd speculate that this is a 1940s ref.12201 which was at some point refurbished using a 60s dial, hand set and crown.

serial number is 750***
Case is legit, but for sure with wrong dial and handset.

Seller said that serial is 722556 (not 750, I remembered it wrongly) and ref 12, the last 3 digits were consumed.

Movement is without a doubt an UG 281 caliber, so I guess Ranfft was simply wrong 😁 Or at least, we now have an exception to that rule.
