The intruiging thing is that movement serials of 188.xxx for a 481 are typically found around 946/947k (remember our conversation about the first batch of tri compaxes?) The dial may be a later service dial (t swiss t). Serial 1.717k is IMHO too late for a numbered movement.

Anyone a clue what this was supposed to be?
For an 18k TriCompax, seems fair !
Is that the a"Truman " ?
not amazing condition but that seems like a very good price for a 12251

some chamber loss and perhaps incorrect dial shouldn't -2 have sunken edge registers but still 18K with round pushers/waterproof case

what’s odd about this watch is the minutes subdial. It doesn’t seem the correct font and it looks like it was written with a thick sharpie. On the other hand, what are the chances only that subdial was reprinted. Odd duck, I didn’t have time to properly research. A lot there for the money.

Washed dial. I think someone went back over the minute counter by hand.

The dial diameter seems a bit small for the case, I thought maybe a refinished replacement; could also be the crystal missing its compression ring (it is a waterproof case)

Probably a small one. 31/32 mm Great dial. And there is the arrow tail chrono hand again. We’ve never explored the origins of that hand.
