Possibly. This was the info on Chrono 24. Maybe its older info.
I got into a issue with the seller when they made a mistake during a purchase. I did purchase some nice hands from them, wish they were mature
during communication !

it looks like a 22258 that someone plated themselves (and it's not sticking well). It would be very cool if the plating could be stripped back and a usable 22258 SS case was part of the outcome. Without a good case, you just have the mvmt and some of the hands.

The movement does not look too bad. It should not be too hard to get it running, However, case is a mix and match, some hands are not correct and dial is what it is. Still a worthwhile purchase at that price but pretty much on the border as to how costly it will be to restore ...

Congrats. Odd that they chose to cover up the case reference. Did the seller confirm it was S20217-1?

What are the numbers etched just above the case reference on the case back?
S20217-1 was the reference apparently. I don鈥檛 have the watch with me yet though. Shipping should be quite an issue in the current Covid.

My one of these just arrived this morning! S20217-4 so not quite the same model, but similar. I think the only difference is mine has lune dots.

Yes, it has nothing to do with Paul Newman, except maybe the color of his eyes 馃槈

... and why would they use the same plate for different brands?

This was my first thought too. If the dial fonts are suspicious as well then I鈥檇 avoid.
