Is this a very obvious redial? I'll go back in this thread to find the discussion. As someone who is new to UG, I'm hoping the finds I bring here are not obvious redials but at least interesting enough to warrant some discussion. My intent is to post these for education and help anyone who may find them in their search

yah that was a nice one...although I was a little confused because I normally see this style of dial with the "indents" in gold, like on this time only, but maybe there's different types....

 

Gosh... each time there is something interesting on ebay the seller accept an offer and conclude the sale before!

What do you think about this Tri-compax? A bit worn dial, crown not original/correct, pity the seller hides the ref. and serial numbers... And price a bit high for me... but other than that?

Worn dial, relumed hands, wrong crown ... i would avoid especially a this price

 

This one is a redial sadly. Chapter ring and hands might be ok. Not sure if they started life in that case with that movement. Nasty looking crown. Hard to tell much without better pictures.

Everything screams fake to me about it. I've never seen a UG made in that style. But who the hell would go to such lengths to create a weird franked like that?

 

It is a fake, serial number 8xx,xxx puts it very early and cal 85 should be valjoux 72 which is in much later universal.
