- Hour and minutes hands are wrong
- Subdials hands are wrong
- The caseback is from a Compur
- The dial looks perfectly new, I suggest a redial
- I have also strong doubt about the case/puschers ...

Hi,
I recently found this watch at a local shop.
What do you think about it? How much could this worth? It has a stardust dial, don't know yet if it's too much for me or not.

Putting this back in play again. Service dial or retouched? I do not think it's a redial. I'm guessing service dial. Regardless someone already bought it from European Watch Co. who are usually on their game. Thoughts?

I'm pleased to report that the seller agrees with consensus and is changing the listing....

Oh, wow, thats a pretty nice example. That dial was originally solid black and gave up a lot of her pigment due to UV light and humidity. Some collectors call it "tropical" and for some watches it increases value. Not really the case for a Polerouter but I still think it's cool AF.

The case looks pretty good.

Here's the rub: you can buy a an 18k Bombe lugs solid 18k Polerouter for like 2g's. This keeps the price of the SS watches down. I haven't seen too many sell for more than $1000 in SS and $750 is a more realistic number for a good condition watch.

How much is seller asking and is he offering a warranty (warranties from brick and mortar stores are valuable).

Yes, I agree, it might be blight on the dial, but it kinda gives the watch a particular/special look. The seller asks for ~950 dollars, I think I can get it around 750-800 $ with 1 year service warranty.

lol I wouldn't call it "blight" (maybe just say it to neg the seller!).

If I were looking for a Polerouter, I would pay $750 all day long for that example. The service warranty makes it a great deal and almost a no brainer. The case and lugs on this watch look good - one issue w/ bombe lugs is watchmakers with a heavy polishing hand - when done incorrectly they look like shit (these look good).

Keep us posted

The caseback reference number did not match the case style
Everything else looks great

The reference is for spider lug “22250”, in other words the watch is a franken

I made an offer of $3500 on that watch before someone warned me off. Thank god the seller declined my offer and countered with $3550. Lol otherwise I would have had to back myself out of the deal. I like the dial tho!

Sala is not always on hand, especially when you think you have found a great deal !
