Offered up for sale is an 18k rose-gold 33mm cased UG triple date moonphase watch, ref. 11310, dating to 1949. The dial is original, and carries a few marks as seen in the photos. Months are in Portuguese, as is the day wheel. The applied indices plus the hour and minute leaf hands are rose gold as well. The moonphase wheel is the later type with the glossy blue background and the silver orb moon, and is consistent with the date of manufacture for the watch based on my observations in Sala. The Jung & Cie. case is in nice condition with its broad, blade shaped lugs. It carries the Portuguese import hallmark on the 5 o'clock lug. It also has a hallmark on the case side at 7:30. The caseback has some dents on the exterior near that 5 o’clock lug. The watch runs well. All functions and correctors work correctly. Timekeeping is good, with it holding within 10 seconds per day on my wrist. No known service history. I do note one missing movement/case retaining screw, which could be addressed at the next service. However its absence does not affect the functionality of the watch at this time -the movement is tight within the case. Caseback shows some dents as seen below A mahogany colored alligator patterned strap is fitted, with an aftermarket rose gold buckle. Wear on the strap is as shown. All in, it is a very nice, wearable example of a UG Triple Date Moonphase in a lovely rose gold colored case. I’ve had it for two years, and worn it in rotation without issue. I presume the next owner can do the same. This sale is part of a continuing reorganization of my collection. I’m building up a stash of “dry powder” for some anticipated future purchases.
