Hi all,

I'm looking at a watch for sale from a reputable dealer that I'm trying to assess. There are some photos below. The caseback indicates that the ref is 22258 but I haven't been able to find any evidence of this dial format against that reference. That said I haven't found any comprehensive resources for the reference. The dealer is saying it's coeval and nothing is replaced on the dial. I did think that the moon should have a "face" but perhaps not for this model?

Anyone out there who can help me vet this piece?

Franken…Run away.
Its a pick and mix of parts. Dial (later dial) , case back … Reference is SS but the case looks to be gold*, later moon disc and Crown…Hands are rough.

* I have to research if UG made gold capped SS cases.

Thank you Larry! My radar was going off here. It's always tough for me with these older models that were mass produced what is franken and what is just a quirk!
