I see that the lot sold for Euros 241, not a bad price considering it included 13 U signed crowns.

the largest was only 4.5mm

I believe the Space Compax crown diameter is ~ 6.8mm. Can anyone confirm? Also, is the diameter of a crown for the "Nina" Compax the same as a Space Compax?

Thanks

On vintage ug crowns, there were no logo. So my point of view is, you are bidding just on a stem that fits cal 285, and that's not rare nor expensive...

Hi all,
I'm looking for a UG crown but I'm not sure which one I need nor which one I have. :/ Sorry, newbie here. 😀
@dtannenbaum sorry for the late response. Do you have any idea what is the caliber of the watch? Have you been able to open it? If so please take a picture of the mechanism. Universal Geneve three handers are not easy to identify. Thanks for your help. It's a nice watch BTW. Has anyone told you about what each number means?

What is the definition of "vintage"?
My Compax is 1957, am I wasting my time (and potentially money) looking for a signed crown?

I seen UG watches with non-signed crowns. Does this mean that the crown is not original.

Until 1953/54 both(buckles and crowns) did not have the logo or better for buckles only a inscription under. .

The more I see, the less I know, it seems. I especially continue to be confounded by the subject of crowns. In the instance of the Polerouter, for example, aside from crown logo, diameter and height, would anyone happen to have a good set of specs on Polerouter crown thread sizes and stem lengths? I've got a few heading to the spa shortly and will be sure to ask my watchmaker to take measurements a notes and I will share those here once the pieces have been returned to me. In the meantime, I was wondering whether any of you already have this information and whether you'd be willing to share.

I have a universal geneve polerouter stainless steel and it doesn't have the original crown. Cal 218-2. I was wondering if you knew what it came with and how I could get a replacement? I don't have a lot of money, but maybe we can reach a deal.

Won't be easy to find one crown for your watch, is not a question of money or goodwill, is a question of availability. I think i won't be wrong if i say that half of the members of this forum,, in one time or another, searched for UG crowns to complete their watches but not all found them and some are searching for a long time now

Yah I hear that. I'm not a completionist, I just would like it to look better. I can wait to find one and hopefully get lucky.
