It would be 3500 CHF. On the higher end of what they told me it could be when I met them
Does that include refinishing the dial or sourcing another dial for you?

No I don't think so, the dial wasn't mentioned. I honestly don't dislike the dial as it is, even if clearly not original

That's crazy, probably the highest quote I have ever heard for a service. I don't think you will gain anything working with the (new) UG, just find a reputable independant watchmaker who is good with vintage.

In my opinion, a redial or a damaged original dial has no historical value. As for the market value, it depends on the mercader involved in the sale of these great universal geneve watches.

$3500 sounds like daylight robbery to me, I'd take my business elsewhere unless they can also source an original dial within that quote.

Just echoing the shock and awe. My watchmaker would charge between $600 and 1k depending on what was needed.
