    hello to all :)
As always my radar is on for new vintage watches, this time I got E3129342-3446-4147-9DCF-04EA45C94358.png 18EAF1A8-36B8-4ECA-87A4-2D46B162562E.png 05723B10-A287-41C8-963E-A8177682CF6D.jpeg a white shadow and would like to know your thoughts . Sorry for the bad pics but until I get the watch on my hands that’s all I can show. Price is good and hopefully watch will look better that what it does on this pics. Caliber is 1-67 as far as I can see. Back cover UG stamp is ok for you ? Any advice ??
    Thanks again

Finally the new UG is with me. The crown is pull out and I can’t push in, when I turn the same the ahead the hands don’t move but when I move the crown opposite then hands are moving, hope is not a big issue. Tomorrow will go to the watchmaker for a service. Case 2.640.700 so I guess it’s from 1968 to 1970. Dial in mint condition, plexi full of scratches so needs to be polished (an small crack too but I can live with it) D90B7B06-4890-4808-B7F7-45E0BF122E29.jpeg C75793D2-C3CE-4EDB-B531-E21655C4708C.jpeg B07003FA-703F-4F2D-BC13-A50D920D07C5.jpeg EB52EF33-0FE1-481D-89A1-6DCD60E766F5.jpeg DE4AC00A-9C8C-4C03-AF69-056AA753EE0D.jpeg 1FD18163-71A6-4A3F-9E6B-5D000021FD46.jpeg 4C9B4A33-C821-41F0-AE52-65DF8F2C3CDE.jpeg

    Patina or on purpose?

It kinda looks like a blue dial that aged interestingly.

A common problem with these microtor movements is broken rotor posts. The rotor has been dragging on the underside of the case back. These rotor posts appear to be made from unobtainium. I hope you don’t need one.

some of the blue dials are lapis or something like that, which have natural variations, I can't tell if that is the case on the OP watch, here is an example...

I came accross another like OPs so figured I would add some photos. I will try and get better pictures when there isn't a tropical storm going on.

And this is definitely not the same watch?

The pattern is identical on both dials, so obviously they are painted rather than being lapis or similar with natural variation.

The serial # on case is different. Mine is 2644xxx.

Here is a link to another identical dial from @bgrisso example of the one Hodinkee sold, unless they are the same watch as well.

The OP’s watch does not look like lapis.

I would be curious to see it without the glass, a clear photo of it.

So where did you find this watch? Is this yours? Did this one need the fix-up or was that from the second post? How do you account for the crazing pattern?

This appears to be a painted dial design that's duplicated on several watches. There's one on ebay now that I had looked at. Same stars and "galaxy" like blob design around 630 and 1000 on the dial. I was tempted to pick it up and see if a new crystal would resurrect it, but then I saw a picture that captures the crazing on the dial. Looks like the surface of Europa to me! Might not be noticeable in normal light though.

I got one today. Blue is my favorite color, and I love a watch with a date function.
