1935 UWs are hard to find, though 4.5kUSD seems steep. Would be interested to hear opnions and knowledge regarding early UGs and this one.

saw both those, the Uweco dial a bit torn up, the UG is nice, but I'm not paying anywhere near that kind of $$ for 30.5mm case size

 

May be $200-300 is all I would bid ! Women's watch size in reality ?

 

I know what you mean; I have no problems wearing a 30mm UG Wilhelmina but the idea of wearing a 30mm watch where most of the real estate is bezel rather than dial doesn't really appeal. I tortured myself over the Uweco briefly, as I did for the recent Colonial on Ebay and a previous UFO. I do have this, however, as a compromise at 34mm:

 

The 34mm is definitely more masculine and desirable. Colonial are a unique case which is rare and not made in a bigger case ?

 

4.5K for that UFO thing? you would have to be barmy to pay that sort of money for it. I would much rather add $500 and buy that nice tri-compax with the unusually clean dial mentioned in previous posts ...

 

I don't think I would even want it in my UG collection to be honest !

 

Opinions like that will probably mean I'll end up buying one.

 

LOL, at least find one with Original dial ! The gold one for $4.5 k looks like a redial ? I would not even give that to my wife ! She deserves at least a Patek ref 96 at 30 mm !
