    Phillips currently has the hammer price listed as 329,000 chf. Started laughing hysterically when I saw that. 32.5k makes more sense.

    It was obvious that the price for the Universal chronos was going to be more that the highest estimate, but I really wasn't expecting this.

    I actually think the big black dialed Compax was the bargain of the evening considering the others.
    And probably also the Universal Cairelli CP-2 wasn't that bad, considering how rare it is...
    The aero-compax I saw it live in London when they came here to do the preview of the auction and I wasn't really impressed by it, the case has been pretty polished before...
    I agree that the Universal ship has sailed or it is starting sailing at least... or at least for particular models and references...
    At the end of the day their now absurd prices still make more sense than the prices of Rolexes or even certain Pateks if you ask me...
