Hi, I found this Omega today. It has a face painted/enamelled with galleon ships. It is 9kt gold with dennison hallmarks etc. I've never seen one with a face decorated like this? Any ideas welcome.
Some more info 13322 Dennison with omega triangle mark. ALD 579739 on the mechanism. Serial number 13566678 on inside of case. Really unusual scene of waring galleons on dial? Any ideas please?
You should at least try to make pictures which are not totally out of focus - then we might be able to comment...
It's the lighting...with better lighting your IPad camera will take fine pictures. Use mine all the time to take watch pictures with good results.
We have oldy worldly lighting in the house, a bit like living by candlelight!! I will try again when the sun rises!!!
For the record , my wife has a nice Constellation perpetual date. My actual wearing watch is a Shaghai special ....Deng Shao Ping waving!!!
Even fuzzy that is one cool looking dial. You may be too close for correct focus. Try holding a little further away and then crop the pic to get the size you want.
Omega did do some cloisonné dials, but I doubt yours came from the factory like that. My guess is that it was custom made by a cloisonné dial maker after the fact. See here, for example http://cloisonne-dials.blogspot.cl/2009/06/by-www.html?m=1 You can order a raft of different dials.
