    A parnter at my firm is a fellow WIS, but with a preference for moderns. He walks into my office and just hands me a YG Cap Seamaster DeVille - unpolished and all original. I politely refused several times, but he insisted....

    Obviously it needs a new crown, but the rest is all original, including the branded crystal. It runs, but clearly needs a service.

    Happy Friday, indeed! :D

    Haven't even done any work for him yet. He's in a different practice group. Probably just likes the cut of my jib (pun intended).

    Nice gift!

    Beats the half used pencil I got from a long time collaborator.... Overall condition was decent but the eraser was practically NOS! :p

    I never know what is going to show up in the mail. I just try and be polite and buy him a beer.

    Wait a minute:unsure: , maybe it's the beer ::confused2::

    Considering that my recently-acquired Flagship Ultra-Chron is fubar, maybe this is just horological justice.

    Sent it to Steve. Apparently, the previous watchmaker was a hack: wrong screws, soldered-in date wheel. Steve couldn't source the date wheel so he sent it back. I will keep my eyes out for a donor movement, but if you hear of one...

    Caliber 431, right? If so, easy to find a donor watch.

    Great watch... I'm extremely jealous.
    Got one just like it but without the date window ;)

    Wear it in good health.

    I believe so. I got it for a pretty good price, so throwing some cash at a donor will not upset me greatly.
