Understanding the Menutia of DON Speedy Bezels

Congrats on landing what appears to be a very nice Speedy with some minor work to do to get to a real beauty!
Finding a nice and fitting DON Bezel is certainly possible. In principle, any genuine DON bezel will fit on any 60s Speedmaster case (provided neither component has been altered over the course of its life).

I do wonder though; should we interpret your question as if you are looking for a DON with the exact right little quirks to others mounted on similar 145.022-68's? That's a lot harder to answer. For instance, some DON bezels have had the tendency to turn blue. Those would not be 'correct' on an 145.022-68 as they are typically found on -64 references.

To my knowledge, though, there is no such specific quirk to the bezels commonly observed on 145.022-68's. So, any DON in a condition that is desirable to you and produces a watch where all pieces show a commensurate degree of wear / condition, would be a good result.
