After researching for a while, I haven't come up with a conclusive answer as to what date (or rather serial number) DON bezels where produced.

I ask because I recently purchased a 145.022-69 serial 30.58x.xxx which has a DON. I have seen another 30.58x.xxx with a DNN, but that just means it could have been potentially replaced at some point. I've come to believe that this serial range may be close to the switch between DONs and DNNs.

If anyone could shed some light I'd love to know more.

    Cheers

I don’t think there’s a clear line between don and dnn..
They probably used what they had in stock..

Exact assumption. The DON is supposed to be used until around 3058xxx, after that DNN came. But as always, exceptions from that rule. Around the switch both were used. I got a DON on a 3099xxx.

I got a DON on a 48M... I kept the DON and 69 case back and sold the watch with a new bezel and back. Got a free DON+back :)

Transitional range was 305xxxxx to 309xxxxx, in which we see DON, DNN, 220. I'd expect 309xxxxx to be outliers, though, but they do exist.

I suspect this watch was indeed a -69, but with an Omega service movement. I have often observed 48m serials in earlier watches that have a service history post 1970. Could be as late as mid 1985 - I don't have enough info. Pretty sure it's not passed late 1980s.

I have seen several watches with all the characteristics of 1969 - including a MkII - that had a 48m movement and a rumour of an Omega service,

Maybe a 69 with swapped movement... but luminova dial and hands means a recent swap ??

True - I wonder if then it was done post '94 (or two operations, one early one late - who knows!)
