Hello, I thought the JLC and GP guys might be interested in seeing this uncommon watch. The movement is a GP 080-351, which is a reworked JLC 916. A total of 350 were made in gold fill, and another 350 in steel according to GP records. Yes, it's gold and screams 1970's, but it appeals to me for some reason. A very comfortable 39mm, not including crowns. Just needs a servicing and a proper strap and it will be good to go. Regards
Yes, crown turns the alarm wheel counterclockwise, so that numbers are exposed in decreasing order; 12, 11, 10....
Thank you. After more research, it appears that the case is from a JLC E876: http://jlc.watchprosite.com/show-forumpost/fi-2/pi-2607456/ti-434161/t-jlc-additional-comments/
Thanks for the info. To my eye (albeit not so great), the 876 looks to have a slightly squarer appearance. Whereas yours seems to be the same except for the obvious mod for the more standard strap/spring bar installation. Interesting in any case.
