Hello.
Has anyone got hands on with the 18mm Uncle Seiko flat link?

I believe Forstner are also in the process of making an 18mm flat link.

I am looking forward to getting either one but tempted to wait to see what Forstner produce. . .

These look really good too, the U logo is always a confuser tho 馃榾

And the Uncle branding

But beautiful bracelets never the less, I guess with an authentic Omega clasp, it doesn't matter either

I can't help regarding the 1171, but I received the Holzer a few days ago. It has a perfect fit and look 馃榾

I customized it with an old Omega clasp I got without its folding part a while ago.

I am obviously not as good as the Uncle to do the polished/brushed finish, but for a first-timer and on a beaten clasp, I guess it is not so bad

The only drawback of Uncle Seiko's bracelets is that each time you open the package there is this little voice saying: "why didn't I buy the other model too?"

That looks great on there!
Can always add more to your collection. I buy both sized endlinks (19/20) when I get a new US, it lets me mix and match whenever I want on whatever I want.
Still haven鈥檛 picked up the 18mm yet. Do you have any vintage pieces with 18mm lugs? Curious how it fits the shape/depth of those.

I did the same for the flat link 馃榿 but it is not an option for the 18mm ones.
The only other 18mm I have is a Century, cal. 269, in solid gold...

Have you compared the bracelets (18 vs 19/20)? US had said when it was in design that the new 18鈥檚 were smaller throughout, not just the same bracelet as the 19/20 with smaller endlinks (which would look weird). Curious to see a side by side.

Just received this week the 1171 on the 18 mm size and installed it on my 3520.50.00. The supplied springbars did not aligned with the case holes, had to use curved ones:

Good bracelet for the price! might do as others pointed out and get an Omega clasp for it.

I have the Flat Link for my 3523. As fskywalker says, spring bars don't line up - OG bracelets on the 3510 that this is made for are different fit.

I filed away at the curve of the end link but it still pulls the top link of the bracelet too far towards the case and binds on the end link when worn. I hadn't thought of curved bars! I will order some and try that.

I measured the 19-20mm flat vs 18mm Holzer: 18.8mm vs 18mm
If someone has the same model in 2 sizes it would be better to compare.
The middle link of the flat bracelet is 9.9mm width, just in case

So here are the US 18mm Flat Link on the left and the Forstner 20mm Flat Link on the right (which is fitted with the US 20mm Flat Link end link because I find it sits better).

I make the US 18mm to be 17.85mm at the top link and the Forstner 20mm to be 18.95mm.

Photos also show the 18mm bracelet with the US 20mm end link and spring bar:

Curved spring bars arrived from cousinsuk. Worked a treat, top links sit nicely below the end links now.

I love the dive on the twisted lugs. Endlinks that cover that up (like most modern Omega bracelets) just miss the whole point.
