Ladies and Gents So, there I was, minding my own business, taking the family out on a Saturday afternoon trawling a few 'antique' shops when I spied a little something. Couple of down and dirty cell phone photos. Lovely original box Looks good under the lid And here she is, complete with original band ( in poor condition) and buckle. Solid 18k,1954/5 2782 Bumper Connie. Oh look, the bottom comes outa this box! What's under here? Mmmmmhmmmm, that'd be the papers including the Chronometer certificate! Close up of the original dial And the back. The circular milling marks and observatory are crisp as the day it was made. Needless to say, I left with it. Spoke to the owner of the shop and he purchased this complete package from the original owners son. It was his Dads 'good watch' that he wore sparingly. It was never serviced hence the original crown, buckle and band. I have not opened the back but I don't think I need to with any kind of urgency. Besides, I don't want to scratch it up. I'll get better photos when I get it serviced and opened. Needless to say, I'm a bit chuffed. I'm going to need to sell a few from my collection though!
I love Deluxes...... Complete set make it more wonderful. I believe you only need to replace the crystal, and probably TLC the movement.
It's old fake rubbish mate, but to save you the hurt on this one, I'll take it off your hands for what you dropped on it. Just PM me your account details and your PIN OK, jealous rage over..........great grab, congratulations!
Thanks guys. Not entirely sure it is a de luxe as I have not opened the back. Any way I can tell without opening it? I'm not too sure but the 2782 and 2799 look pretty similar according to the OVD
Awesum find! Is there a bumper cal in it? A 354 would be my guess with the Omega as script. Is the buckle 18K as well?
