Hi!
Well like the title says, I don’t really know what this this is other than it’s gorgeous!
In my opinion it’s NOS ( the strap is just one I threw on )
Now the thing is… it’s a non runner. I’m sure it just needs a service and it would be a fantastic little piece. About 31 maybe 31.5mm in diameter.
Of course, I am not a watchmaker and can’t guarantee anything but please see pics 😀
I’m looking for USD 110 including shipping within Can and US. PayPal F&F and no returns.
I have a fair number of sales and purchases here I can provide references.
Thanks very much for looking 😀
Edit - I just noticed the last picture. That’s not pitting in the plating on the lug, just dust.

What you have is a Durowe 422 calibre movement. My example is behind a Laco dial. Laco was founded by the firm Lacher & Co. in Germany, and Laco was a supplier of watches to the German military during WWII. The attached item pertains to Laco, but the link between Laco and Durowe is discussed.

The logo on the dial doesn’t belong to Durowe, Laco, or Lacher. The Durowe 422 (as in yours) was used a lot by countless watch companies with obscure brand names. I have two in my collection.

Durowe, in the late 1950s designed an early battery powered movement. When Timex became interested in battery powered watches, they discovered Durowe, and bought the company. Early Timex Electrics had Durowe battery movements in them.Durowe was eventually bought by SSIH.

You may notice that the Durowe 422 movement and dial I have shown are marked FOREIGN. This watch was made for export from Germany in the years shortly after WWII when stamping GERMANY on it was a deterrent to sales.
