Sold August 30th Asking $9350
Sold September 9th Asking $9950
UnSold November 23rd € 7500
Unsold September 20th $9900
Sold September 27th $9000
Unsold December 2nd £7250
Sold November 2nd $7850
Unsold December 1st $8150
Sold November 12th £6500
Sold November 13th $7500
Unsold November 26th £6250

So there are a few things to say about that list - early sellers made off with a healthy bonus.
Clearly the price people are willing to pay has come down to about £6000/$7600. Currently sellers asking more than that have not (yet) sold.
And look at the last watch, a bargain at £6250 but apparently not yet sold, though its very recent.
And also it is possible those marked still unsold have actually sold and the seller has not updated the listing.

Thanks for that very interesting list.
Just what I thought when checking prices on various forums etc...

One just sold on eBay for GBP5,700.

Good time to snag one now as prices are coming down.

Yep, was going to mention the £5,700 one. There’s also a couple at 5,900/6k unsold for a few weeks.

Watchfinder sold 2 at 5,800 during their flash sale, so 5.7/5.8k seems to be where buyers jump currently.

I don't know why people are bothering to flip these to make less than a $1,000 profit. Not worth the risk of being scammed, courier delivery issues, or having one of those buyers from hell who hold you accountable for minor factory issues that are out of your control.

Reality is many people bought them to flip in the 1st place, it's just that some timed their sale better than others and got the big premium. Who knows, prices might go up again once most of the flipper sales work their way through.

It is free money for little to no effort at all. And those issues you mentioned can be prevented if you sell through forums and ask for a bank transfer.

My thoughts exactly... I think what happened is they were expecting snoopy-like flipping levels...

All are asking. I cannot fathom the selling but I think they are close enough.

👍

do flippers feel themselves somehow frowned upon? I have seen FS ads where Sellers seem to pitch a sad story "I really like the watch" "want to keep it" but reason XYZ came upon me and now must sell <so sad>

🙁 🙁

I think there is some level of social pressure not to be a bottom feeding, greedy, opportunistic, money grubbing flipper at least in the Private Watch section. So cover stories may be created.

less so in the dealer section. Non-existent on eBay chrono24 etc.
