Good question, I don't know if the orange hand notation is in Omega's archives or they add it if the pic supplied has one. If it's the latter the Extract isn't worth much.

that’s my problem with these (well one of them). Why pay that kind of premium if you can’t be 100% certain the watch shipped with an orange hand when new?

To my knowledge the archive states "special equipment" and there was no other specials during the time. So if serial is in range and the photo has the right hand they issue an extract. I also know of one guy who didn't send a photo but still got an extract - in his case the orange hand was actually replaced with a white one and he felt he should ask if it could have been an Ultraman. Saw that extract and the watch.
