UK Parts Availability - Delays

Is anyone else in UK struggling with swatch group parts? By that I mean watchmakers that are certified and do have parts accounts. I'm not discussing the lack of parts on the open market.

Swatch group have moved their warehouse in the UK from what I can gather and parts have since been scarce.

Has this affected anyone else in the UK, EU or even further afield?

My watchmaker hasn't had a delivery of parts for 4 months. Beaverbrooks (a UK based Omega AD) have been giving long lead times for simple things like straps.

Interested to hear others take on the matter.

4 months? That seems exceptionally long. I'm in Canada, not the UK, but even when covid was on and they were not working constantly, the delays were no where near that long even getting parts that had to come from Switzerland.

It is a really long time. He is pulling his hair out as has so many people waiting for parts. He said something similar about covid delays not being this bad. Christmas gets bad as they shut down for a few weeks.

He recently serviced my Rolex Submariner and no problems at all. He had Rolex, Omega, Patek and TAG Heuer accounts. He isn’t some back alley operator.

The parts are for a vintage Longines which I’m sure doesn’t help.

I’m not complaining though as his work is worth the wait, as I’m sure yours would be Archer if I was based in Canada.

In my experience, anything truly vintage the current Longines under Swatch is useless for parts. They just tell me to send the watch in to Longines, which of course I never do.

Even watches from the 90's (barely vintage) they have described to me as being "ancient" so I wouldn't hold out much hope that they will have what you need if it's older than that.

I placed my order with Swatch Canada at 10:23am this morning. I got an email saying it was boxed and ready to ship by 10:54am!

So I’d say no…

Granted, that was very fast today.

4 months is extremely long. Surely it’s only some parts and not all?

The watch is from the 70's I believe. I think it is a couple of wheels from worn pivots and a missing screw on the barrel. I'm surprised it ran at all. It also didn't have a rear gasket so also surprised it wasn't filthy inside.
