I've been meaning to take my UG to get a service but I don't trust any run-of-the-mill local repair shops in California. Anyone have recommendations for watchmakers/repairs that know how to handle a vintage UG? (SoCal would be best)
So here is what I have discovered ... a watchmaker who is a restoration specialist and can source and fabricate parts is who you are looking for. UG Chrono are complex but nothing particularly special according to the folks I use. You need to check references and do some interviews. If you've come up dry you can ship your watch to folks who can do the work.
