For sale is this absolutely lovely UG Tri Compax Moonphase. I bought this from a very respected and trusted OF member a few months ago, and it was serviced before I received it. Everything is original and it is in a really nice condition, lovely dial with some very light spotting, case is 18ct gold, lugs are nice and sharp, all functions work as they should, and to my admittedly untrained eye, the movement looks superb.

I also bought an Omega moon phase at the same time, and sadly some financial requirements (non watch related) mean that I can't keep them both, and have reluctantly decided to let this one go.

I am offering it near what I paid for it (allowing for PayPal and credit card fees and exchange rates), £4250 net to me, via Paypal FF or bank transfer. Price includes fully tracked and insured shipping via UPS (you are responsible for any import taxes), and I will include a period UG box with it. For any US buyers, I will be visiting NY/NJ around the middle of August and can bring it with me.

Offers welcome, I will also include an offer to buy it back from you for £4600 at the end of October, should you decide you don't want it (October, because that's when I'm due a large-ish tax refund...). I am also happy to provide a full refund if after a week you decide it's not for you, however return shipping will be at your cost.

I have some references here both as a buyer and seller, and also many on eBay, I can send these to you if you required. Photos are below, two dial shots to show how it looks in different light. Please let me know of you have any questions!

Hi, as @Florent says the movement, pushers, crown, dial etc were produced by UG and the cases produced and assembled in France, like most UGs of the period. They have a French 18k gold hallmark and manufacturer stamp. The model number and serial number are inside the case back.

Interesting offer - am I reading this right that anyone who wants to, in essence, try the watch out can be "paid" for doing so...? Buy it now for 4600 Euro, and then if they don't want to keep it sell it back to you three months later for 5000 Euro? Sounds like a pretty darn good return on a short term investment - better than a savings account or the stock market for sure! :)
GLWS - hopefully your buyer will be happy with the watch and forego the short-term profit motive!

Actually it's £ rather than E but these days its almost the same thing....Essentially yes, although on the condition the new owner hasn't been scuba diving with it on, using it to hammer in nails, throw at squirrels, etc etc. My rationale was that it isn't easy to find a nice, unmolested/non-franken serviced example, and it might persuade someone who doesn't have a UG but who is thinking about it, to dip their toe in. I suspect the new owner will want to keep it, but if not, with the rate at which vintage watch prices seem to increase, it'll probably be worth more than £5k in 6 months time anyway ;)
