Hello- It's been a while since my last post as these things take a bit, but attached is my first draft of a Nina Serial Number project: http://alphahands.com/faq/universal-geneve-nina-rindt-serial-number-project/ I'll be adding more pieces in the coming week, but wanted to share what I have to date. Feedback welcome...and appreciated! As with the other serial/case number projects I have (Zenith A386, Type XX 3-register, etc.), I will be adding more detail on dials, hands, bezels, etc. in the future, so all sections will be consistent. Buy smart, everyone!
Thanks for taking the time to compile this- looks organized and informative. I'd suggest saving a photo for each example besides the source link in case the source gets taken down we lose sight of the watch. Interesting to see the Nina made in 1981 Universal really was a crazy operation.
Thanks @jumpingsecond I'll be adding more thoughts/analysis hopefully shortly as well. As for 1981...not quite sure what to say about that... And have no fear re: the images
Just want to say big thanks to everyone who has shared images and serial number information for the database on email, DM, PM, IG, text...everything I've updated a tremendous amount since my first rev last week, including all I have found on IG. Hope it is useful, and please let me know if you have any suggestions on improvements.
I have now added a number of images for examples within each section (dial, hands, crown, bezel, caseback).
More like wife-turned balls if memory serves..... https://omegaforums.net/threads/universal-geneve-compax-hands.79424/
The lumes are all even on those ones, so I assumed he use his skills on the ones on this thread. No blue balls involved
Unfortunately no plans to do the same for an Evil Nina (at least until I get one...). Next up will be a Clapton research project...stay tuned!
Can someone please help me with the strap size for the Nina? If I wanted to purchase a leather strap what size would it need to be? Thanks in advanced
