UG cal 42 two-hand dress watch, c.1965. Always had a soft spot for linen dials.

This one needs a bit of work...



Quite grimy, but looks complete & intact.



That dial is in nice shape, though.



Let's give this one a service & see if we can do a little better on the timekeeping.



Basic two-hand movement, doesn't take up too many cubbies in the parts tray.



Fresh out of the cleaner.



Going train.



Keyless works.



Winding works.



Getting close.



Success!



On the small side by today's standards, but I love it.

Cheers for saving that one! Runs really nicely now. And now I finally know the lift angle for the 42 movement, which is always good to have.

I see quite a few of these textured dial UGs over at Yahoo Japan auctions, they sure were popular there. Finding one with a dial as nice as yours is a bit rarer, though.
