Two restoration quesitons

First, thanks for all the great information on the forums! I have two restoration questions.

1) I have a 1035 that has stretched some and could use a general cleaning (but don't want it polished). Is there a good place in the US that can replace the worn out springs/bars to get rid of the stretch? STS in the UK seems to be able to do it but I'd prefer not to have to ship back and forth internationally.

2) My watch (105.003) came with the (correct) service hands, but I was able to source some vintage 105.003 hands. They have the lume interacted and I read that you can have some coating put on the lume to help match sure it doesn't fall out. (i.e. Bob Ridley). Is this a good idea if I want to watch the office to the office sometimes? Not sure of the pros and cons with respect to wearability, looks, or value.

Thank you!
Chris

A coat of lacquer to the back of the hands should stabilise it pretty decently without affecting looks.
