The Boring Project is a joke and is doomed to failure.

To small, no safety exits, or ventilation, slower then existing public transit.... I am not sure he is good at building tunnels either...

He's a bit like me, too many projects on the go.
However I wish that I got as rich as him being as unsuccessful as he is lol.

I will never contribute a single cent to any of his ventures. Will never buy a Tesla and gave up Twitter after his takeover.

When you think about it, the guy is a first rate conman. How can a company charge $12K for FSD years in advance of being operational AND prevent buyers from conveying the functionality upon sale of the vehicle! Also, as mentioned, the lies about vehicle range intentionally programmed into the algorithm at his direction.

He’s no hero or world savior in my book. He treats his employees like garbage and his legacy is long from being fully written.

Take many huge freight trains of money, add an enormous ego, stir in psychopathic tendencies, sprinkle a good amount of stupid grin, add a large cup of piss n’ vinegar, fold in plenty of bullshit, bake in a global warming oven, smother with whipped verbal diarrhoea, drizzle with snake oil, garnish with a sprig of arrogance and serve with a side dish of dickhead in bastard sauce …….voila! Your Elon Musk is served….. mind you I can’t imagine any self respecting cannibal wanting to eat him

From a recent LA Times article linked below (bold emphases mine):

Elon Musk is known for his unusual and disruptive business practices.

The latest apparent example was reported Thursday in an article by news agency Reuters: For years, Tesla reportedly has exaggerated the maximum range of the electric cars it sells. When customers’ range complaints overwhelmed the company’s service team, according to Reuters, Tesla created a special team to cancel those appointments and tell drivers that nothing was wrong with their cars’ battery data.

The news report, which cites customers and unnamed former employees, said that the company created a “Diversion Team” in Las Vegas specifically to cancel as many range-related appointments as possible.

The team was reportedly created to address a growing problem at Tesla: Its service center growth has not kept pace with the growth in sales for Tesla cars. “Service centers were inundated with appointments from owners who had expected better performance based on the company’s advertised estimates,” the Reuters article said. Messages sent to customers with range-related appointments said “remote diagnostics” indicated no battery problems and thus the appointment was canceled.

According to Reuters, Tesla rigged its algorithms for its range meter to give drivers a “rosy” idea of how far the car could travel on a full charge; when the battery was half-depleted, the software would show a more realistic range projection, to avoid a driver being stranded with no juice left in the battery.

A couple of points. First, "disruptive" 🤦. How about dishonest!

Secondly, this is only the latest of a long list of examples demonstrating Musk's tendency to exaggerate and/or lie in order to pump up market expectations and share prices.

I don't think that it's fair to suggest that Musk doesn't have some impressive and positive attributes, but the above tendency reflects very poorly on him.

This will likely add to the number of class action lawsuits Tesla is facing...

The fully autonomous Tesla and the Cyber Truck are coming tomorrow……trouble is, tomorrow never seems to come
How many revised estimates of their imminent arrival will there be?

For close to 15 years I was very active on Twitter, both personally and professionally. Since EM took it over and started acting like a privileged frat boy rather than an insightful and empathetic leader, I let my account languish. Insight and empathy don't preclude innovation; they make it matter.

For me, Twitter is now in the Xitter.

Besides Starlink satellites flashing to astronomical observatories worldwide, something is flashing on the ground as well...

Flashing "X" installed on top of Twitter headquarters in San Francisco - without a permit from the city 🤔

After denying San Francisco building inspectors access to the building on Friday & Saturday, XTwitter is removing the flashing X sign today.

Yeah I actually did forget that one………but I tend to not bother remembering fairytales!

And there are probably a lot more announcements I’ve forgotten that he has made…… but I don’t bother listening to anything he says anyway.

I’m pretty ambivalent to him, which is probably the most annoying type of reaction to him, sociopaths thrive on adoration and hatred, they don’t like being ignored and considered as irrelevant.
They have no empathy, so they seek it from others, and if they can’t get it from you your hatred will do instead.

While it’s jolly good fun to belittle the likes of him, we must be careful to use no passion or emotion when we do so,
otherwise they will draw strength from our energies.

I don’t know him so as such I don’t have any real reason to hate him, but I don’t believe anything he says and from what I’ve seen I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t like him if I did know him, and would probably grow to hate him the more I got to know him.

I don't detect ambivalence.
I don’t care much what you do or don’t detect.
I use discussions like this as a bit of a sounding board and a chance to share some humour, the feedback is only something to do the fine calibration of my philosophies with the basic philosophies are already formed. So an individual opinion is of little matter unless it is that rarest of opinions….one that is a great revaluation.
As to wether someone likes or dislikes my philosophies, well I don’t care much there either, but I do hope that I can provide some humour to brighten someone’s day and also provide the opportunity for others to fine tune the calibrations of their philosophies, because when you don’t calibrate you philosophies you end up like Musk.

I don’t spend all that much time on the likes of Musk, other than the odd snipe at their egos, it is important for folks to belittle them, piss on their chips every now and then, to let them know that while you don’t find them very interesting they aren’t going to get away with shit without being noticed and when they are noticed then that will result in another shower if piss on their chips, albeit one without passion.
