Are you certain about this; I am asking because I have a Turtle with 2542 PC which doesn't have the word chronometer on the rotor. I have seen also some others in chrono24 with the same simple rotor:
http://www.chrono24.com/en/zenith/captain-chronometer--id2661520.htm?id=2661520&picnum=0&tab=pics
http://www.chrono24.com/en/zenith/v...id3299481.htm?id=3299481&picnum=4&tab=details

No, I'm not certain that the rotors of certified 25xx chronometers were always marked, though I believe this to be true. My point was more about the American spelling of "chronometer" on the movements when there is the British/French "chronometre" on the dial. I don't think anyone can be certain that "chronometer" always appeared on the rotor of a certified 25xx chronometre... but I know which rotor I would prefer to have in my 25xx chronometre. A rotor without "chronometer" might mean that the rotor has been replaced (or that the dial has been replaced or repainted); a marked rotor is much less likely to be a replacement.

Well that's why I am asking this. My turtle's rotor doesn't have the word chronometer and I was sure that it was a replacement. But having seen the examples in chrono24 I am beggining to have doubts. By the way what's your opinion about these watches. Do you think that they are all original and in good condition or do they have also problems;

First one has a issue

Replacement rotor on the first one as why would you drill the jewel no out ?
look at centre attachment for rotor of two examples you have posted? Both not the same..

Both have big problems. The first one has the number of jewels drilled off the rotor! The second has a rotor that says 23 Jewels... and the 2542 PC is a 25 Jewel movement. So they are both replacements.

Haha I knew someone would beat me to this by 17 seconds. But you missed the second problem so only half points. 😉

The rotors of many if not all of the 25xx automatic movements are interchangeable between references, so count the jewels!

How i didn't noticed that especially the second; Of course you are right my bad for not being too careful. So I have to find proper rotor for my turtle. Do you know anyone who might have a spare;

Good luck with that. Your best bet is to troll eBay with a saved search for "Zenith 2542"; you might find a movement from a melted gold one some day.

Sorry to throw this into the mix but I thought I would post clearer pictures of the two oscillating weights that I know from the 25x2 P series.

First is up to 2542 (25 jewel) This actually from my Turtle

Then from 2552 they corrected a recognised weakness - the post on which the weight rotates was prone to failure.

This will also give you a clue as to where the missing two jewels went.

The 2562 is the same as the 2552 and I don't have a 2572 to compare.

I don't think the weights are actually interchangeable without also changing the post or perhaps even the whole auto-winder.

Well I have already done that and I am hoping that I will be lucky enough to find one soon enough. By the way here is my turtle. Hope you like it even if she isn't entirely correct:
