What does your research show you so far on this when you compare it to genuine examples?

Thanks for your reply, sorry I am not an expert, but so far comparing it with other models the dial seems not to be genuine. I am not sure about the bezel but the movement is legit to me. Again the case also seems ok. I might be wrong though hence asking for opinions before spending any money on it only if its worth it.

I’m no expert, either, but there is obviously rust on that crown stem, which likely means rust elsewhere in the movement. The dial looks either fake or poorly repainted (likely because of the water intrusion that caused the rust), the hands have been poorly re-lumed.

Why are you even interested in this?

I’m sure there are better examples out there.

Those hands don't look legit to me at all. Not just relumed, they look wrong or aftermarket. I think that the dial was badly damaged and then sloppily repaired. I also have a bad feeling about the insert. Overall, it's a mess.

Thanks for the input. I was getting this at a good price hence thought to have it.

Thank you and really appreciated. I’ll stay away even at a bargain price.

It wouldn't be worth restoring, and I'm not sure which parts have value, but the case and case-back could be legit, and the movement might have some value (although it looks like there may be water damage). Is there a bracelet?

The movement is working ok. Sorry only comes with a replacement strap no bracelet. The case is showing reference number and serial number between the lugs respectively.

It would have to be really cheap, and you'd need to have some use for the parts. It would be an expensive and time-consuming project to find the correct dial and hands, and an insert wouldn't be cheap. Too bad there's no bracelet, that could at least be worth having.

The bezel, to me, looks like it may be the correct "MK II" insert for a meters first dial but I am not 100% sure. Other than that I agree with Dan. The hands look not only relumed but totally off, the dial looks redone. The seconds hands is definitely wrong.

The outside case back engraving looks like laser engraving. Which would make it one of the plenty fake cases from Vietnam....

It is all absolutely garbage - fake - nothing is legit. Not even the case - look at how the back of the crwonguards are. Just a reworked Chinese clone. No question in my mind.

I've owned / handled several dozen of these.
