Saw this in the shop and I’m in love. Ya got the red triangle just like Bond’s Sub!

What a pleasure

The blue no date snowflake is definitely on my grail list. The only Tudor I would ever have to own, besides maybe a Home plate Monte Carlo of course 😉

New addition to the flakefam

Damn, that’s a crisp one! The domed crystal is what makes these no dates so attractive IMO.

I have a question for the snowflake sub owners. I recently became an owner of a vintage watch and have quickly come to realise that they are a little more high maintenance than a "new" watch. Don't get me wrong, I love my vintage watches but I do sometimes find that I can wear my newer watches and not worry about them but I worry a little more with the vintage ones. Given that Tudor has some very nice pieces available now (BB, BB58, pelagos) and maybe even a new sub (fingers crossed for Basel 2019!!),

would some of you existing owners, be tempted by the simplicity of trading in for a new tudor and cash for other watches?

I only ask because a Tudor snowflake is very high on my grail watch list and I am wondering if the ownership experience will live up to the expectation.

Depends on what your after, for me the bb58 ticks a lot of boxes and I can wear it pretty much every day. I don't have many super old pieces but the bb means I can leave my older (25 years to 50 years) ones in the watch box more often. My bb58 is also super accurate, gained less than 5 sec in a month

I don't have either so I'm going completely armchair QB on this one - but I would never trade a vintage Tudor Sub for a BB58. You can get the BB58 easily today on the secondary market, prices are starting to come down on it. Good luck finding a Tudor Sub in good condition at a reasonable price, and by reasonable I mean under $5K.

7016 Swiss only dial with oft seen dial rot, gonna get the hands relumed to match the dial, but otherwise nice and beat up case with honest wear.
