Tudor 'snowflake'

My Tudor 'snowflake' is proving hard to sell. The offers have been ridiculous for a watch in great condition(year1967-8). How much would it cost to get certification etc? I would appreciate any advice...

What are you asking for it and where are you located? The condition seems ok but not brilliant. If it's from 1968, it would fetch somewhere between €2300 and €2900 here in Germany. Where have you had it listed for sale?

I have listed it on e-bay,preloved,gumtree and craigslist. I have advertised it as £1700. I have been offered everything from £1600 all the way down to £500. It is a fantastic watch in good working order. In picture 1 it looks like the face is bubbled up, however this is just a photo editing effect a little more detailed than wished.
Thanks for the interest.

Obviously £500 is a joke. £1600 is definitely on the lower end of what is reasonable, depending on the condition of the watch in the flesh.

Maybe try listing it here and on Chrono24. You won't get as many jokers as via eBay. If you want to get rid of it quickish, £2200 should do it. Otherwise if you're in now rush, try higher and see who bites.

If you don't have any prior references selling watches, that could be turning buyers off. Also, better pictures would help the buyer! The dials on the snowflakes are known to have problems bubbling up.

Agree with Kyle. Better pictures are a must. I wouldn't buy it based on these pictures. could you let us have a couple of better shots? The bubbles on the dial aren't too bad - I've seen worse. Unfortunately, the snowflake is often faked.

Thanks for the photos. Looks original to me, with the possible exception of the bracelet. Are you sure this is from 1968? The Tudor emblem on the bracelet didn't appear until 1971, to my knowledge. So, assuming it is a 7021 (you'd need to check between the
lugs for the numbers), I'd guess the bracelet was fitted later. I could still imagine you might find someone willing to pay £2000. Good luck.
