    Dear Tudor Pelagos FXD owners

Have you paired your FXD with any other straps?

I, like most, was sceptical until I saw one in the flesh last December. That is one fantastic piece, and I am sorely tempted to add one to the stable.

    Enable me (with pictures).

    Many thanks.

    Bump!

Are the original straps that good? Or are these things just that 'scarce'/'rare' that nobody here has one? Or is it just the rolex forum crowd and I run the risk of being banned to rolexforum  ?!

Still have mine on the original strap. It's not bad if the fold fits the wrist size. Also the ends usually do stick out a bit.

On IG I think most are wearing it with NATOs or MN straps. Erika's MN has one that could fit the FXD: https://erikasoriginals.com/mn-straps/pelagosfxd.php Looks pretty good

As for the watch I think it is indeed fantastic. Tbh at 'similar' dimensions (titanium diver +-41mm) it's comparable to NTTD Seamaster. One is a collab with Bond. The other a collab with French Navy. Yet the Tudor is about half the price.

Near all of Erika's MN straps in 22mm can be made to suit these fixed lugs. When ordering on her website you need to indicate to have this done and is done at no extra cost. I have also been looking for straps to fit this watch as I like to swap and change. Leather and rubber NATO 's are another option.

I think it's those skimpy tops with the back straps all over the place that they call active wear these days and a lot of young ladies wear ::facepalm1:: (not meant to be sexist).

A watch that looks better every time you change the strap…and it doesn’t matter which strap …

    Here is an example…

Unfortunately not on different straps…but 4 vs 2 lines on the dial and a 2 line LHD … wish I were military…

I think I saw one of the RHD military being sold in Singapore for like SGD 60k. For LHD I've never seen one for sale.

To my knowledge 22mm is the standard lugwidth for all of the Pelagos models. The larger BlackBay divers and GMT have the same 22mm lugwidth and I find it suits a (dive) watch this size well. Just my taste.

On a navy/sky blue nato from Eliot Brown.
Also have a couple of MN style straps on their way, and have commissioned some leather straps too,
Really enjoying the watch, not been off my wrist since I got it.

Here is my FXD on a variety of straps, presented in no particular order:
    DSCF2231.jpeg
I think it looks rather meh on the dark gray seat-belt type NATO strap from Phenomenato.

    DSCF2232.jpeg
It looks much better on a lighter gray "Matte Supreme" NATO from C&B...

DSCF2233.jpeg and also on the the dark blue version.

DSCF2240.jpeg I actually thought it looked alright on the green Phenomenato, but my wife assures me that it in fact does not and is quite the eyesore.

    DSCF2244.jpeg
I'm not sure why one would wear any dive watch – but particularly the FXD – on a leather strap, but I don't hate it on Omega's light brown Barenia leather strap.

DSCF2235.jpeg I think it's the perfect summer watch on this generic orange NATO.

    DSCF2242.jpeg
Here it is on a generic "melange" perlon-style strap. Not too shabby.

    DSCF2230.jpeg
And finally, here is my favorite strap to pair the FXD with: a generic 20 mm blue and gray ribbed NATO. The slightly visible lug bars – à la Sean Connery's Submariner in Dr. No – I find adds to the FXD's toolish aesthetic (I'm also too cheap to buy the same strap in 22 mm).

In summary, like most blue-dialed/bezeled watches, the FXD fails to achieve the same strap versatility as say a Speedmaster or Explorer, but it does look good on a variety of straps. And this is good, because the supplied Velcro strap looks and feels cheap, while the rubber NATO strap bows out at the lugs and looks sloppy.

Oops, missed a picture of it on a tan NATO strap. It would probably look better with brushed steel hardware, but overall, I think this looks acceptable.

I am looking to add one, does anyone have a shot of it next to a Speedmaster? The size I think is close just want to confirm (and haven’t had time to go down to an AD)

    Thanks!
