It鈥檚 a bit prickly on here. Not always the most welcoming of forums.

I like the BB58 馃憤

OF is cynical. When someone registers an account and creates 2 threads on Wednesday asking why he can't post in the For Sale section and then proceeds to make ~30 1-2 word posts in the next 24 hours, people tend to get suspicious.

Very cool! A trip to the local Tudor AD is in my future. And for what it鈥檚 worth, from the pictures and for my personal experience, the 58 wins hands down!

Go for a 58! Another emotion on the wrist, in my opinion.
The GMT is great too, but BB58 is a great catch 馃槈

I wish the GMT were built on the 58 platform rather than the regular BB.

Yes agree, but for me the pelagos, titanium, ceramic bezel and in house movement.
It would be a hit if it were made using the bb58 dimension and profile.

The BB41 lead onto the BB58

I got the exciting news this time (ish) last year to pick up the 58 and I was even more thrilled in person.

The fit and case is just spot on. I love it and will never sell it. In terms of fit and proportion I don鈥檛 think I own anything else I love more.

I still keep the 41 as my holiday watch so it lives on a nato usually.

I just hope they do a 58 GMT.

BB ETA is a nice watch, but I don't wear it much for some reason. Most likely it would be in " for sale" threads soon....

Hey Everyone, somewhat tangential question about how ADs work. I am super interested in both the BB58 and the GMT. I stopped by the only Tudor AD in the area with the intent of seeing how they look on the wrist. I was told that not only were they not in stock, but they'd also never received any BB58s from Tudor, more than a year after their release. I asked about the possibility of ordering one so that I could check it out and they said all they could do was take down my name in case one came in. Is this sort of thing typical with watch ADs? From this forum, I get the impression that it is helpful to build a relationship with an AD, but it just seems bizarre that you can't even pay a deposit to put a hold on an item you might want to buy. Thanks in advance for any insight you can share!

Are you in the UK

If you are very quick, goldsmiths in Leeds have a GMT on bracelet in their window.

If you are not UK, ignore/

I would be extremely surprised if they hadn鈥檛 received 1 bb58. I got mine within about 3 months of release. And my AD received 2 during that pickup of mine, and they get 1 or 2 each month.

In the uk they can鈥檛 take a deposit for goods not in. And if it鈥檚 really that elusive for them, they won鈥檛 know when it will come in.

To join a list now with no history you are probably looking at 4-9 months.

Thanks so much for this info. I'm in the US. It is helpful to know that the process could take months. I have no prior relationship with the local AD, so it would not surprise me if I got a somewhat unhelpful response from their staff because they already have a very long wait list of existing customers.

You won鈥檛 regret it

For the price, I forget, something like 2400 GBP - it is an absolute bargain

It has tonnes of character and is the most interesting diver of recent times in my opinion. And the proportions for me are spot on.

I'll be banging the door down if/when that happens

I think the BB58 has gotten quite an unexpected demand from the manufacturer. My AD told me they only managed to receive 2 in the last 6 months. It might just be the AD refusing to have an official long wait for the customer through a deposit. Basically telling you: don鈥檛 get your hopes up.

Sounds about right. The Tudor/Rolex shortage must be tough on the AD staff. This particular AD has a great selection of vintage and pre-owned watches, and every time I go to windowshop the used case I see the staff having to patiently explain to confused people that none of the new, steel Rolexes they are interested in are available.
