    hi all,
Just picked this up from a friend but I’m beginning to think it may be a fake? He said it had a Refurb this year and I’ve already been told it’s a service bezel. The Swiss t 25 is worrying me too. 2B5DD45C-2EE0-47F6-AC96-FFA9F122EA32.jpeg 998E1D2E-9024-4A9F-A867-17B055C234A3.jpeg 58C86436-E1A5-4F75-BCD4-5A13660D9DE2.jpeg

dial is differently off, and everything else seems a little off as well. I would pass.

a inside caseback photo should help.

Early fakes were put together with authentic Tudor movements and Vietnam cases/dials. Then when prices of the Tudor movements increased and supply dried up, they went to plain ETA movements. Now they just put Asian movements in them. You can purchase the vintage Tudor Subs today for about $200 to $300 in China.
Aging is too good and too even. Bezel is too clean. Red flags!
Get a tighter shot of the dial, inside case back, movement, and between the lugs.

How much did you pay? If you don't want to tell, how about a range?

From what I’ve been told the movement was serviced, glass replaced, relumed, hands refurbished and dial refurbished. I know this is a big no no for purists. He purchased it looking like the pictures below, hence the Refurb

I am really sorry……not good news

I know the dial is a pastiche of a 7016……just look at the Tudor Rose logo ???

The second hand is definitely wrong & the other two look suspicious

The movement rotor should have TUDOR AUTO PRINCE, & overall the finish feels far below, what I would expect from Rolex / Tudor

The case inscriptions between the lugs, look like they were applied yesterday…not 50 years ago

You don’t think anything is right about it then? All the work was carried out this year, seems madness to do that on a fake? What do you think of original pics?

I am only telling you what I see - others may disagree ?...I am sure they will chime in, if I have called it wrong

I cannot anticipate other people’s past, or current motives in the presentation of the watch

The original ‘before’ images are not sufficiently defined / high enough resolution, to comment upon……except that SWISS-T <25 is still wrong

Post the same question on VRF ( Vintage Rolex Forum ) for comparison ?

I know nothing about fake Tudors. However the rotor saying Tudor sa and the case back saying Tudorsa would be enough for me to pass.

I’ve been in touch with Morgan at Tudor Collector he seems pretty happy with what he can see. The insert is a serice or fake and the dial has been redone. Apart from that fairly happy.

Agree with ICONO about the case serial number and model engraving appeared to be done recently.
The mid case rehaut looks more prominent than usual, may be it is crystal used.

Could it be down to clean and possible polish received earlier this year making markings look fresh?
