Trying to identify late dad's omega model

After my late dad passed on, I found this handwound omega in his drawer. I sent it for servicing and it is working now. However I am curious if anyone might know what model this is. I googled but can't find any identical pictures to ID it.

Appreciate if anyone can share any ideas on this.

Many thanks.

It's an unusual dial, but there are many, many dial styles. The info you need to ID the watch is inside. Post photos of the numbers inside the caseback and on the movement. There won't be a model name, but there may be a reference number inside the caseback, and caliber number of the movement, and a serial number on the movement that can help date the watch.

Good on you for getting it serviced 👍

As Dan says, you'll need to see the insides for the information you are looking for. It's and early fifties reference with a movement in the 30mm family, which was a stable of the Omega company for years. Very good, dependable movement capable of good accuracy too.

Try contacting the watchmaker who worked on it and see if he remembers what was on the inside.

How do we call this dial? A diamond dial?
A very nice textured dial 😜
Sorry @STUZNU for your loss, that’s a nice watch to use in memory of your father.

Many thanks for your replies, comments and advice. I will bring it to the watch repair shop to open the caseback to take a snapshot after this lockdown in Malaysia.

Thanks once again.

I was amazed it still works with no need for parts change.

No, it is a completely different reference, just a similar dial. Look at the shape of the case.

Oh I see... out of curiosity, what model is yours? Constellation (looking at the pointed markers)?

Normally posts like this are boring. Rarely do I see a dial I’ve never seen before. And even less more so a killer looking dial I’ve never seen before.

A nice piece indeed and as mentioned an unusual dial. I you replace the blue rubber strap 😗 with a black appropriate leather strap, the dial will stand out better and the total apperance of this fine watch will significant better.

A blue leather strap would also look good 😀

I've texted the watch shop .. they haven't reverted. Will pay them a visit when they reopen. I'll ask then to open the caseback for me to take a pic
