for a 1st Omega, I recommend Seamaster Cosmic, Chronostop, and a lot of Genève. it all depends on your taste.
the price will be between 500 and 800€ depending on the model, condition, color...
for example this one is offered at 500€

You are right, thanks for specifying. I'll stay engaged and look for other pices and consult the board when I find something interesting. How is vintage omega watches usually found? Is there a prefered platform like ebay, specific dealers or specalist stores?

Dealers are mostly for people who want a nice watch to wear but isn’t into vintage watches. Thus, you are paying a high premium for having someone else finding a (hopefully) good watch.

Best bet is auction sites like Lauritz but more often eBay or in Denmark DBA. You can always post pictures here before buying but maybe you would want to not disclose the link in future threads just as to not attract a lot of attention to the watch you plan on purchasing.
An even better bet is the sales listings on this forum where you will find good examples.

Yes, and that's pretty much the entry level for a decent vintage Omega. The OP should be willing to spend at least that much. If he wants to spend 200 euros, I would suggest looking at brands that aren't as highly marketed, but still high quality.

I completely agree. And at 325 I would myself rather buy a prestine geneve than a bad SM600.
